Wisconsin Dental Assistant School Uniform Requirements
Appleton Dental Assistant Training Program Uniform Policy
At Weekend Dental Assistant School in Appleton, WI, students are thoroughly trained in every aspect of dental assisting, from the most up-to-date techniques to proper attire. After training and learning for 10 weeks, students are completely comfortable working in a real dental office and wearing the appropriate dental assistant uniform.
All students are required to wear a ceil blue lab jacket and pants to every Saturday class. The lab jack has long sleeves, a high neckline, and cuffs at the wrist. Any shirt or scrub top can be worn underneath the lab jacket. Any brand of lab jacket and scrub pants is acceptable as long as they are the required color: ceil blue.
White or black tennis shoes must also be worn. Shoes must not have open holes in the design and must cover the heel.
Other uniform requirements:
- Hair pulled back out of the face
- Nail polish and/or artificial nails removed
- All jewelry removed for clinical lab time
Hair and jewelry (including rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and removable facial piercings) can harbor bacteria, and jewelry can pierce or tear through gloves.
During orientation, your Weekend Dental Assistant School instructors will go over all the uniform requirements and advise you on where to buy the lab jacket and scrubs.
