Wisconsin Dental Assistant School Academic Director

Janet is the Academic Director of Weekend Dental Assistant School. She has been a full time dental assistant school instructor for over 13 years and has been in dentistry for 40 years. She graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota with a Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is a Certified Dental Assistant as well as a MGE Executive Graduate of Knowledge, Ability, and Competence. Janet completed the Company Trainer program through Management Experts, Inc., and is a Certified Scheduler through the Jay Geier Scheduling Institute. She has over 1000 hours of continuing education all over the United States plus in Canada. She worked many years under a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. She practiced Dental Hygiene for over two decades before becoming an Administrator for a large dental practice. She has dedicated her life to her patients and students and loves seeing people enter the field of dentistry, where there is a great need. Janet says, “There is nothing more gratifying than teaching dentistry to those who want to learn.”

Her other interests are varied. She loves animals and has rescued many dogs and cats. She caters to them, does training with them and they are her "babies". One earned a Therapy Dog certificate. She and her husband have two grown children, also leaders in the field of dentistry. She is a grandma now as well, which occupies any spare time. She does projects with her husband and goes up north to be in the outdoors and on the lake. Her lifetime passion is her dedication to this school and her students.
