What To Expect At Orientation
Learn More About Our Wisconsin Based Dental Assistant Training Program
Orientation and Registration for our dental assistant school is your time to come in and meet us, see what we are all about and get a real feel for the program and what to expect. It is also a time for us to assess your ability to be successful in the training and your likelihood of success in gaining employment.
During orientation, an instructor will meet with you and give you all the information you need to know to get started on the right track. The instructor will go over the required textbooks and outside reading with you as well as explain the quiz process, midterm and final examinations. The written exams are worth 50% of your overall grade. The clinical director will review all aspects of your clinical grade as well, which makes up the remaining 50% of your final grade. You will gain a complete understanding of your academic and clinical grading.
Your Weekend Dental Assistant School orientation director will also go over everything else you need to know about our dental assistant training program. We will discuss the dental assistant uniform of ceil blue lab jacket and scrubs and white or black tennis shoes required for the program and rules on your hair, jewelry, nail polish and artificial nails. You can watch a DVD video from a prior class and receive a walk through tour of our clinical and classroom space. We will also provide time to look through some of our school scrapbooks and ask any questions you may have.
You will register for the training course by filling out the easy dental assisting school application, pay the tuition, purchase your textbooks and receive your first reading assignment before you go home as well. You will also leave with your letter of acceptance. Limited spots are available for this course; your paid tuition reserves your spot for the class.
Primary registration takes place during Orientation. Orientations are offered weekly by appointment. (920)730-1112. Students from out of state and far distances can register via phone.
